Privacy Policy

Pricey is built to be anonymous by default. There is no account to create, no login wall, and no advertising.

What Pricey collects

• Scans and searches. When you scan a barcode or search for a product, the barcode number or search term is sent to our servers to look up product information and prices. These requests are not tied to your name, email, or identity.
• Watchlist items. If you track a product, its barcode and your alert preferences are stored so we can check prices on a schedule and notify you. Tracking is keyed to an anonymous device token, not to you.
• Scan history is stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud sync, your watchlist syncs through your personal iCloud account, which we cannot read.

What Pricey does not do

• We do not sell or share your personal data. Ever.
• We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
• We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or precise location.
• Camera access is used only to read barcodes, on your device. Images never leave your phone.

Retailer links

When you tap a price, you leave Pricey and go to the retailer's site or app. Their privacy policies apply there. Some links are affiliate links — see How Pricey makes money.

Notifications

Price-drop alerts use Apple's push notification service. You can turn them off anytime in Settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the current version will always be at this address, with the date above updated.
